5 Pressure Points for Pain Relief During Period

 

It’s time again!  Period is here. And with it, a host of hemorrhaging and cascade of cramping.  So, what is one to do with all this pain and pressure?  We want to dive into pressure points and how they can potentially help you pin point area on your body that can prompt relief.

Ever done leg lifts on your back?  Place your hands over top one another on your sacrum and lay flat on your back. This lifts your pelvis and helps lift pain also!

 

Next, apply pressure about you palm- width below the knee and between the calf and tibia muscles. Massage gently with deeper pressure over time.

 

Go directly over the source by applying that same constant pressure over the pubic bone area, directly in the center of your vaginal “mound” or the triangle where pubic hair grows.

 

You can also apply pressure a few inches below your belly button.  Make sure not to poke, but instead to somewhat compress the area with a flat surface like your hand.

 

 

One of the most common and easily accessible pressure points is the space between your thumb and index finger. Use your thumb and forefinger from your opposite hand to apply pressure to this area on the other.
